Practice Fusion updates its EHR platform, makes it mobile-friendly

Practice Fusion updated its electronic health record (EHR) platform to add more features, introduce new design, and make it mobile-friendly. Whether they’re working from a desktop, laptop, or tablet – physicians can use the software to e-prescribe medications, complete chart notes, access lab results, send referrals, submit superbills, and more.

The upgrade will be completed seamlessly, with nothing for customers to download, install or upgrade. The platform has been revamped from the ground up in a process that took Practice Fusion designers, researchers and developers more than 250,000 hours. The company says that the latest release was made from the direct feedback from tens of thousands of US physicians.

As that was the case before (with Practice Fusion’s EHR), the upgrade will be completed seamlessly, with nothing for customers to download, install or upgrade. All patient clinical data that was available in the classic EHR is immediately available in the new EHR, without any hassle.

Later this year and early in 2015, the company will be releasing even more customer-requested features starting with recurring appointments. From there, they will move on to advanced templates, more efficient e-prescribing workflows, easier formatting of chart notes, flowsheets, plus e-prescribing of controlled substances.

Over 100,000 healthcare professionals are logging in every month to Practice Fusion’s EHR to manage 91 million patient records.
