SensoTRACK, activity tracker worn on the ear, looking for funds at Kickstarter

SensoTRACK is a novel activity tracking device worn on the ear, measuring heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen saturation and respiration rate. It counts steps, calories burned, senses speed, activity level, geolocation, altitude, body posture, pace, while also keeping track on manually-entered parameters such as weight, body mass index (BMI), blood sugar and emotional state.

SensoTRACK users will be able to either follow their own plan or download prepared workouts and routines developed by professionals, as well as the SensoTRACK community.SensoTRACK is ergonomically designed to feel good on the wearer, while staying in place during any activity. The device uses temporal artery for its biometric readouts which, according to the company behind the project, provides for more accurate readings (compared to wrist-worn devices). In fact, SensoTRACK claims an accuracy level that is on par with FDA-approved vital-sign monitoring devices.

Future users of SensoTRACK will have the ability to either follow their own plan or download prepared workouts and routines developed by professionals, as well as the SensoTRACK community. The device works with an accompanying mobile app, which will be available for iOS and Android phones.

On the other hand, the company is also trying to make life easier for trainers and coaches who will be able to log into the SensoTRACK Web Portal.

SensoTRACK is looking to raise $250,000 at the crowdfunding website Kickstarter.
