Xmetrics raises $1M for its swim tracker device

Italy-based Xmetrics raised $1.07 million (675,000 GBP) from Reply Breed in exchange for 30% equity in the company.

Xmetrics has developed the swim tracker device that hooks into the back of the swimmer’s goggles. It can count strokes, measure how long the session lasted, and provide near real-time audio feedback through attached headphones. Data from the device is sent to a companion app, that provides all of the stats a swimmer would need.

The company offers two different app plans, Xmetrics Fit with fixed audio feedback for $199 and Xmetrics Pro with customizable audio feedback for $299.

Xmetrics has also launched an Indiegogo campaign to fund industrialization of the product and build the first fully working beta samples.
