Philips Lifeline GoSafe is now available for purchase, allowing seniors to stay connected to emergency care at home or on the go. The device is relying on up to six location technologies that enable response center associates to locate seniors even in areas where GPS may not be available, such as indoors or in a parking garage. This in turn makes GoSafe the only mobile personal emergency response system (mPERS) that gives seniors 24/7 protection by U.S. based emergency call response center.
The built-in AutoAlert fall detection technology can automatically call for help if it detects a fall, providing protection even if the senior is unable to call on their own. Whether user experiences a fall, a health emergency, or even a minor assistance, the GoSafe team will be able to arrive quickly when and where it is needed.
Inside the home, the system utilizes an in-home communicator, whereas the GoSafe pendant can be worn outside, providing continuous protection for the wearer. This [outside] is where AT&T wireless network kicks-in to keep the link alive with Philips’ response center.
Finally, there’s the easy to use Philips Lifeline response app for setting alerts, defining key phone numbers and so on.
Although, GoSafe will be able to detect most falls, Philips strongly recommends users to always press the dedicated panic button if possible.
