Stridalyzer smart insole is made to prevents knee injuries

Stridalyzer is the latest smart insole product trying to make us walk more. Packed with sensors, the device collects all sorts of information about one’s gait, steps, and the overall walking and running form and performance of an individual.

Stridalyzer’s smartphone app provides quick ‘n’ easy access to all the data gathered, what the company calls “intuitive reports and guidance.”Stridalyzer will also provide information on where users are putting undue pressure and alert them if they are in any danger of injury. The whole setup will be watching wearer’s feet and knees, while working with an accompanying smartphone app to provide quick ‘n’ easy access to all the data gathered — what the company calls “intuitive reports and guidance.”

“Stridalyzer uses a pair of insoles with a novel, patent-pending technology with multiple sensors integrated in them, to detect how your foot lands, rolls and pushes off the ground,” the product’s Kickstarter page reads. “All you need to do is put these insoles in your shoes, turn the app on, and start running; Stridalyzer automatically understands that you are moving, and will start collecting data about your run.”

Stridalyzer is currently raising funds at Kickstarter where a single unit could be pre-ordered for $90; shipments are set to begin in April.
