Talkspace has closed a $1 million bridge from Metamorphic Ventures to close out their seed round. This brings the company’s total funds raised to $3.5 million as Metamorphic joins existing investors Spark Capital and Soft Bank.
Talkspace offers the web and mobile app that lets people connect and communicate with licensed therapists. The $25/week service is unique in that sense that it allows users to stay anonymous. For that amount of money users get unlimited messaging and always get to talk with the same therapist unless they request a change.
The new funds will be used to build out partnerships in the enterprise space, offering CFOs the chance to set up employees with a Talkspace account on a company-wide basis.
Alongside the new financing, Talkspace is also launching on Android, with the app available now on Google Play. The service currently has over 200 therapists working on the platform with around 70,000 members since launch.
