Motion capture sportswear Tracky

India-based ProjectPOLE unveiled Tracky, the motion capture sportswear that promises to move the limits of professional athletes and average sports enthusiasts by different approach to training sessions.

The accompanying app automatically recognizes the movements to produce accurate feedback in real time.“As fitness experts we wanted to come up with an idea that makes tracking workouts and exercises easier,” ProjectPOLE founders Arul Balaji Radhakrishnan and Ganesh Moorthy Ramasamy write in the press release. “Whether it’s cross fit or gym or even working out at home, Tracky is able to track all movements to provide accuracy in results also there will be an open API for third-party developers to play with data from the Tracky.”

The sportswear uses motion capture technology that was earlier only used by elite athletes and research experts in sports labs. The device is also infused with artificial intelligence that actually picks up activities and is also able to learn new exercises along with the wearer. The accompanying app automatically recognizes the movements to produce accurate feedback in real time, and can also notify the user if a particular workout is not so perfect.

ProjectPOLE has already managed to garner $1 million investment from Indian investors, but that apparently is not enough. Right now, they are accepting pre-orders through Indiegogo where a single unit could be had for $139, down from the regular price tag of $199. Check it out.
