French company Slow Control unveiled a smart baby bottle called Baby Glgl at CES. Designed to stop babies gulping when they drink, so their digestion runs more smoothly, the device promises to prevent colic and burping, while making for happier mealtimes all round.
Glgl’s built-in sensors make sure users are holding the bottle at the right angle, so it doesn’t create lumps or make the baby take in too much food.
The setup involves a mobile app that monitors intake and how long an infant feeds at each meal. This, according to Slow Control, is ideal when someone is looking after the baby, allowing parents to see how much milk he/she got when they are away.
This isn’t the first smart device made by the France-based company. Three years ago, they launched the 10S Fork which was designed to encourage people to eat more slowly to improve digestion. This device too came with an accompanying app to provide real-time feedback.
