Sony had few mHealth announcements to make at this year’s CES, all of which are made to help us lead a healthier lifestyle.

First we saw a slightly beefed-up version of the Sony SmartWatch 3, which will soon be available with a stainless steel link-based strap, making for a that much sexier look and feel. Those who already bought the watch will be able to buy the steel strap separately or go for the new holder gadget, which will let the watch work with any standard 24mm width watch strap with pin-based mounting.

Those who already bought the watch will be able to buy the steel strap separately.Inside, we’re talking about the same product, one that comes with a 1.6-inch square 320×320 display, IP68 water resistant body, built-in GPS and standard microUSB port charging.

Then we have the Lifelog API, which allows developers to tune into data gathered by Sony’s SmartBand lifelogging wearable. The company provides the Lifelog companion app for Android and the same service is now accessible via the web.

Lifelog API allows developers to tune into data gathered by Sony’s SmartBand lifelogging wearable. The API will enable developers to build apps that can go beyond basic reporting and move into more practical feature sets such as the upcoming IFTTT recipes, Habit Monster routine improvement and development, and Withings Smart Body Analyzer integration.

Finally, Sony had the new Smart B-Trainer prototype on display. Said device is a fully waterproof all-in-one audio headset packed with sensors to help runners while exercising. The Smart B-Trainer can be used in all conditions, offering voice coaching, music, intelligent playlist creation and more.
