Nike has updated its FuelBand app for iPhone users support for Apple’s HealthKit platform. The new version of the app also adds motion tracking to the mix without requiring any wearables whatsoever — the built-in motion co-processor is all it takes for this feature to work.
In addition, Nike also touts a new sports feed feature for making fitness tracking more social in one place with connections to Nike+, Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. The streamlined view allows users to share their goals and cheer others along as they work toward their own goals.
The application also talks with other Nike apps such as Nike+ Training Club and Nike+ Running to share how much NikeFuel users have earned during workout sessions.
Nike+ FuelBand for iPhone is available for free on the App Store; Nike FuelBands can be bought from the Apple Store for $99.95.
