Sutter Health’s new mobile app adds MDLIVE-powered virtual visits

Sutter Health

Sutter Health unveiled a new mobile app for iOS-based devices to provide patients with more convenient, anytime access to its network of care and services.

Available as a free download, the application features a “Symptom Checker,” which helps users make informed decisions about their health; and access to My Health Online, a secure online site where patients may access their health information, e-mail their physician’s office, request appointments, view test results, pay bills, and so on.

Perhaps more importantly, Sutter’s app integrates virtual visits service through MDLIVE, the telehealth service provider for consumers, employers, health plans, hospitals and physician organizations.

“The Sutter Health app is the latest example in our long history of embracing hi-tech innovations to improve clinical care,” said Sutter Health president and CEO Pat Fry. “With this newest technological investment in our patients, we’re working to make care more convenient and accessible.”

When it comes to Android users, they will get Sutter’s updated app with new features later this year.
