Uno Noteband brings something new to the fitness tracker market by letting users get all of the information they need at the glance of their wrist. The device will notify users of incoming calls, emails, social media alerts and calendar events without having to pull out the phone. In other words, it’s like a smart watch, only smaller.
Right from the bet, Uno will provide users with notifications on incoming calls, emails, text and social alerts (Facebook and Twitter), calendar and gaming events, gaming notifications (Xbox Live), Apple Health and Google Fit alerts.
Uno is looking for support through a crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo where it managed to surpass the campaign goal of $50.000 by 257%.The device integrates speed-reading technology from Spritz that enables users to read notifications up to 80% faster. For what it matters, certain Samsung Gear and Pebble smart watches support this capability, as well.
By using Spritz, Uno eliminates the scrolling function that requires two hands, making sure even long emails can be read on a wrist.
The band vibrates when an alert is received and then displays the text after it has been touched. Battery-wise, it will work for days on a single charge.
Uno is still not ready for prime time. Right now, it is looking for support through a crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo where it managed to surpass the campaign goal of $50.000 by 257%. Check it out.
