The Smart Rope features 23 high quality embedded LED lights that display fitness data in mid-air as you jump. This information is also synced with a connected smartphone or tablet through the Smart Gym mobile platform.

Smart Rope has managed to surpass its original funding goal of $60,000; it is selling for $60 at Kickstarter.Designed by a company called Tangram, the system features few different modes: in the calorie mode, users enter their height and weight and Smart Gym calculates how many calories they’ve burned as they jump based on their BMI. With the virtual trainer function, Smart Gym helps folks establish goals and tracks their progress, as well as the ability to easily share their progress with friends and compete with them on Facebook.

Smart Rope is made out of premium materials with “meticulous attention to detail.” The rope is positioned at a 45-degree angle to the handle to encourage natural motion, with ball bearings to ensure fast, smooth revolutions. It relies on a proprietary magnetic sensor system that accurately counts complete revolutions to track jumps.
