MultiCare Health System launches telehealth service powered by Doctor On Demand

MultiCare Doctor On Demand

MultiCare Health System has teamed-up with Doctor On Demand to offer Video Doctor Visits to patients in the state of Washington. Called MultiCare Doctor On Demand, the service provides patients with immediate and affordable access to a Board Certified physician for a wide range of medical issues including cough, flu, eye infections, UTIs, sports injuries and more.

“We know that busy families are demanding more convenient access to health care. This new offering will make it easier for them to get the care they need,” said Claire Spain-Remy, MD, Chief Physician Officer at MultiCare Health System. “We are pleased to be able to partner with Doctor On Demand to bring this service to our communities.”

Patients connect with a Board Certified physician within 90 seconds, without spending hours in the waiting room. If prescriptions are clinically appropriate, Doctor On Demand physicians send them electronically to their patient’s local pharmacy. The service also integrates with MultiCare’s electronic medical records (Epic) to ensure that all patient records are securely sent over to MultiCare Health System in real-time.

To start using the service, patients visit MultiCareDoctorOnDemand.com or download the Doctor On Demand app on a smartphone or tablet. After answering a few questions about their health issues, they are connected with a physician for a Video Visit, and are good to go.

The cost of each Video Visit is $40. For a limited time, MultiCare and Doctor On Demand are offering patients their First Visit Free.
