Cloud-based electronic health record (EHR) platform Practice Fusion launched a tablet app for iPads and Android-based devices. The application will provide the company’s user base, counting more than 112,000 healthcare professionals, with even more flexibility to securely access their EHR and patients’ medical records.
Also, the launch of the app makes Practice Fusion the only Meaningful Use-certified EHR with complete continuity and functionality across 3 separate platforms: desktop, iOS and Android.
“This launch further extends our position as one of the most dominant, rapidly innovating EHRs for doctors and patients,” said Ryan Howard, Practice Fusion, CEO and Founder. “In addition to having the largest patient-provider community in the country, Practice Fusion is the only EHR available where providers have the ability to quickly and securely access their free EHR across multiple platforms. This independence empowers providers by giving them the choice to use whichever device or platform that best helps them provide quality patient care.”
The tablet app provides navigation support for both landscape and portrait devices, featuring all of the same capabilities the desktop version has, including e-prescribing to over 70,000 pharmacies and connecting with over 550 lab and imaging center partners.
A recent study by AmericanEHR has found Practice Fusion to be the de facto EHR for 1-3 clinician offices.
