Telehealth services provider MYidealDOCTOR is teaming-up with Zest Health, a member-based healthcare navigation app. As part of the deal, Zest Health members will get 24/7 access to consultations with MYidealDOCTOR’s network of 1,200 U.S. licensed physicians; also, MYidealDOCTOR will integrate elements of Zest Health’s technology in its mobile platform.

Offering members 24/7 access to a physician through MYidealDOCTOR supports that mission,” said Shawn Ellis, president, Zest Health. “MYidealDOCTOR gives our members more choice and the ability to be seen by any one of MYidealDOCTOR’s physicians in its network whenever they need help.”

The new capability is available through the “Call a Doctor” function from the Zest Health mobile app and Smart Concierge service. But first, patients get screened by virtual nurse named “Lisa,” who gives choices for the next step. Patients can then be connected with a live board certified doctor either via a voice or video conversation, and that physician has the ability to prescribe medications by electronically transmitting a prescription to the patient’s pharmacy of choice.

Unlike traditional office visits and some competing services, MYidealDOCTOR provides patients with two follow-up check-ins: one 4 hours after being seen and a second check-in 72 hours later.
