UnitedHealthcare is making its Health4Me mobile app available to Medicaid beneficiaries in 17 states to allow plan participants to access important health information while on the go.
Using the app — which works on iOS and Android-powered devices — members of the UnitedHealthcare Medicaid plans are able to access personal coverage health details, including a digital ID card, plan summary and member handbook; review their care history; track processed claims; locate nearby physicians, hospitals and medical facilities; and obtain health information from a nurse.
“More people now have important information about their health coverage at their fingertips, helping them make more informed decisions regarding their care,” said Austin Pittman, CEO of UnitedHealthcare’s Medicaid business.
Health4Me is now available to Medicaid and CHIP beneficiaries in the following states: Arizona, Delaware, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Mississippi, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Washington and Wisconsin.
A similar version of the application is available to UnitedHealthcare plan participants enrolled in employer-sponsored health plans. It has been downloaded more than 1.4 million times since it launched in 2012.
