TuringSense unveils its smart wearable for tennis – PIVOT

TuringSense

A company called TuringSense has announced its first product, PIVOT, touting it as the most advanced wearable technology for tennis today. Using biomechanics, sensors and artificial intelligence (AI), the device will help athletes learn and master complex movements, avoid injuries and conquer the competition.

On the other hand, TuringSense hopes to build the perfect companion for physical therapy, insurance compliance, rehabilitation, posture correction and virtual reality/augmented reality and gaming.

This November, TuringSense will launch a Kickstarter campaign for PIVOT.“TuringSense believes that our cutting-edge technology — with pioneering biomechanics and injury prevention focuses — will pivot players to a whole new level, especially in technique improvement, injury prevention and performance evaluation,” said Dr. Limin He, co-founder and CEO, TuringSense. “Most of all, we’re confident it will contribute to the exponential growth of the tennis industry worldwide.”

Unlike other products that attach a single sensor to a tennis racquet, the multi-sensor PIVOT (now in beta) uses wearable sensors to provide instant biomechanical feedback to enable players to master their swings on the court and guard against injuries without using wires or expensive cameras. This November, TuringSense will launch a Kickstarter campaign for PIVOT.

In the meantime, we have other modern solutions that promise similar capabilities for tennis players, including Babolat Play, Sony’s Smart Tennis Sensor and the Smash wearable.
