Centura Health and MDLIVE are teaming-up to make it easier for people in Colorado and western Kansas to access health care services, either from their homes or while on the go, from their smartphones and tablets.
As a result of this partnership, consumers will be able to reach a board-certified physician 24 hours a day, 365 days a year for $49 per visit. MDLIVE offers non-emergency medical and pediatric care, and could assist patients with allergies, asthma, bronchitis, cold and flu, constipation, diarrhea, ear aches, fever, headaches, insect bites, joint aches, nausea, pink eye, rashes, respiratory infections, sinus pain, urinary tract infections and more.
In addition, consumers also will get assistance in finding a primary care provider for follow-up care if they don’t already have one. Appointments can be scheduled via centurahealth.mdlive.com and a doctor can be seen by secure online video, mobile app or interactive audio.

Apart from online and mobile video, the new service also offers robust phone support for consumers who aren’t computer-savvy, and the fee doesn’t go up if the appointment runs long.
Last week, MDLIVE released a new mobile development framework along with an enhanced software development kit (SDK), to make it easier for its clients to launch their own branded “Powered by MDLIVE” telemedicine mobile apps.
