Rune Labs has released an AI companion designed specifically for people with Parkinson’s disease. The tool, called StrivePD Guardian, runs on Anthropic’s Claude AI system and draws from what the company calls the world’s largest Parkinson’s dataset.
The AI analyzes real-time patient data from wearables to offer guidance on symptoms, medications, and daily care decisions. Unlike general AI chatbots, this system is built specifically for Parkinson’s patients and their unique needs.
How does it work?
StrivePD Guardian uses multiple specialized AI agents that handle different aspects of Parkinson’s care. When a patient asks a question, the system automatically routes it to the most appropriate specialist agent without requiring menu navigation.
The system learns from several data sources:
- Wearable device readings that track movement and symptoms
- Medication logs and timing records
- Patient journal entries and chat history
- User-defined health goals and preferences
“It’s like having a conversation with my own StrivePD data,” said Kevin K., a user testing the system. “I can ask questions, get quick answers, all grounded in what I’ve logged.”
The AI builds a continuously updated patient profile that becomes more personalized over time. It can interpret complex Parkinson’s symptoms like “off times” and dyskinesia by matching patient reports with objective movement data from wearables.

Rune Labs built this AI using millions of hours of real patient data collected through wearable devices and FDA-cleared symptom tracking algorithms. This gives it a level of medical specificity that general-purpose AI tools lack.
“Because StrivePD Guardian is trained on our continuous wearable datasets, it can interpret ‘off times’ and dyskinesia with a level of precision that general-purpose AI models simply cannot achieve,” said William Newby, the company’s Vice President of Product and Strategy.
The tool is now available for download from the App Store. Existing StrivePD users can upgrade within their current app, though AI chat access varies by subscription plan. Healthcare providers can also offer the tool through partner programs to support patient monitoring and care coordination.
