Genoa, Italy-based Circle Garage developed HIRIS, which is says is a next generation wearable that is modular, expandable and customizable with gesture-controlled capabilities.
The device can analyze 3D gesture movements to track fitness and sports performance in real time. Additionally, HIRIS can be used for other things like controlling drones, DJ decks, presentations, animations, gaming and more.
The HIRIS Core is now up for pre-order for $164 for the early bird edition. It offers two units, HIRIS Core and HIRIS Tracker, where the former (the better model) acts as a gesture-controlled hub, with wellness features to monitor user’s heart rate, track calories burned, steps taken, miles ran and more. This part is also splash proof, so it can be used for swimming.
As for the HIRIS Tracker, it’s a more affordable option that can effortlessly capture movement and generate performance metrics. Users can wear one or more of these for added precision.
HIRIS has a goal of raising $80,000 through its Indiegogo fundraising campaign, offering funders the ability to own a HIRIS Core starting at $164 for the early bird edition. The campaign will last through March 1, and is expected to be shipped in September.
