The company, which some refer to as "Apple of China," is preparing to enter the smart band market with an affordable device of its own.

The Redmond giant will make sure its watch supports multiple platforms, not just Windows Phone, and feature a display on the underside of the band.

The upcoming miCoach Fit Smart looks like a hybrid of Nike's FuelBand and Adidas' own miCoach Smart Run, and will likely incorporate a heart rate monitor.

Apple wants to conduct real-world tests of the iWatch in professional conditioning environments, while also scoring some early endorsements.

Apple will procure iWatch components Quanta, LG and Heptagon which will be taking care of the chassis, screen and internal sensors, respectively.

Beyond providing voice recognition technology which is used in many mobile devices, Nuance also makes solutions that help digitize patient information.

The service itself will aggregate all data fitness apps are producing, organize that data, and when user demands - show it all in a nice-lookin' format.

The service will apparently collect inputs from other apps and devices like fitness bands and heart monitors, while offering APIs developers can tune into.

Other usual-for-these-kind-of-devices sensors will also come included, enabling calorie consumption, blood oxygen level and sleep activity tracking.

Neither company has publicly commented on the deal, but it is expected to be officially announced in the next few weeks.
