Huawei is joining the smart-band market with a new device called TalkBand B1. The first thing everyone will notice on this wristband is a 1.4-inch curved screen that provides users with snippets of information related to their exercise, as well as incoming call and text alerts.

What makes the TalkBand B1 different than competing products is that it comes with a Bluetooth 4.1 earpiece, helping justify Huawei’s “Talk and Track” tagline.

Similarly to other smart-bands, Huawei’s product will also track various fitness activities, including the steps taken, miles covered and calories burned. Moreover, it will record sleep duration and quality of sleep, while also adding a smart alarm and nap functions to the mix (to help you rest better).

The Huawei TalkBand B1 is an NFC-enabled accessory, making it faster to pair the wristband with compatible smartphones. It has a weight of 26 grams and a battery that lasts for up to 6 days.

The Chinese company plans to release the device in China during March of this year; it will also be available in Japan, the Middle East, Russia and Western Europe during the second quarter.
