Ritot smart band bursts past its funding goal on Indiegogo

Another day, another wearable device trying to find for its place under the Sun. The name of the device is Ritot and, like many similar products, it is turning to crowd-funding to get customers before the product is ready for prime time. Also like other such devices, it rocks few sensors to track your activities and sleep quality. But… Ritot comes with a twist…

When paired with the phone, Ritot can also display call information, text messages, reminders, latest tweets and other notifications, each of which will show for just 10 seconds. For one thing, it doesn’t have its own screen; instead it rocks a small built-in projector that can beam current time and notifications to your hand. In order to see the current time, simply shake the hand and see the magic!

When paired with the phone, Ritot can also display call information, text messages, reminders, latest tweets and other notifications, each of which will show for just 10 seconds. There’s also an option to select the color of projected text, which is pretty darn cool.

The device will come in two designs – a simple bracelet and a sport model. The latter will be waterproof, and take advantage of premium materials like aluminum and leather. When it comes to the battery life, Ritot can handle 1 month in standby or 150 hours when actively used. A wireless charger will come included.

The company behind Ritot is looking to raise $50,000 but they’ve easily surpassed that goal by the factor of 7. As I’m writing this, they managed to attract north of $370,000 in sales and there’s still a month to go. Impressive!
