Runtastic, Runkeeper and MediSafe among the first health apps for Android Wear

Aside from HealthTap — which proudly announced it was the first with a health app for Android Wear — we now have Runtastic (both free and paid versions), RunKeeper and MediSafe joining-in.

RunKeeper and Runtastic are fitness tracking services, and their Android Wear apps will let users start a session via voice command, access some stats and get maps right on their wrists. As for MediSafe, it will make sure users don’t forget taking their pills.

At the moment, users can buy two Android Wear smart watches, LG G Watch and Samsung Gear Live, which are available for $229 and $199, respectively. Later in the year, we expect to see few other devices launching, including the Moto 360 which will be the first Android Wear watch with a circular display.
