Leaving your glasses behind can be very frustrating. Once you’ve checked the top of your head, they could be anywhere. And then what? You have to search the entire room, or house, to find them.
Until now, similar devices have been generic trackers meant for things like keys and luggage where appearance isn’t important.The Look is “looking” change that. It’s a discreet Bluetooth tracking device specifically for eyeglasses, raising funds at Indiegogo as we speak. Made to attach to an arm of most any pair of glasses but also to other objects, Look is going for just $28.
Until now, similar devices have been generic trackers meant for things like keys and luggage where appearance isn’t important. Look is different; once attached it will look natural and fashionable. It’s also incredibly light and doesn’t affect the weight of the glasses. Simply attach the device to any set of frames and then download the app to the iPhone or Android device, and you’re good to go.
“The idea for Look came about when I couldn’t find my own reading glasses”, said Look CEO Dafna Ariely. “I looked for hours and couldn’t find them. The next day, I found them between the couch cushions. After all the time I spent and the long, frustrating experience of searching, I thought that if I had something to help me find my glasses, I could have avoided all the pressure and loss of time I experienced. When I didn’t find a product like this on the market, I decided to do it myself.”
In order to turn Look from an idea into a real product, Ariely kicked-off a 60-day crowdfunding campaign looking to raise $50,000. Those pre-ordering now, will get their Look units in April 2015…
