Withings unveiled a new member of its family – Home, which is a video monitoring and environmental sensing camera. The new device, according to the press release, is made to complement Withings’ existing range of connected devices that “inspire users to make healthy choices.”
Withings Home is a smart 5MP HD camera that provides access to one’s home from anywhere. It has the highest quality video complete with a 135-degree wide-angle zoom and clear night vision, and can also detect motion and noise, baby crying included.

There’s also a cloud-based service that enables users to keep track of “all memorable events” sending smartphone notifications and recording videos every time something noteworthy happens.
Aside from this fairly standard features, Withings Home comes equipped with environmental sensors to measure temperature, humidity and levels of Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) inside a home. It can also act on the information collected, alerting users to unhealthy changes in air quality to help them build a healthier environment.
