Smart home formula milk maker Milk Nanny raising funds at Kickstarter

Milk Nanny

A company called Wicoz unveiled Milk Nanny, a smart home kitchen appliance that makes baby formula milk in seconds.

The process starts with scanning the barcode on the formula container after which the Milk Nanny app automatically syncs all the important information from the app’s built-in database.

Milk Nanny is self-cleaning after every use with hot water.Similar to the Diluo device we’ve seen in January, the system is easy to operate, requiring just 15 seconds from the pressing of the button, either on the machine or on the Milk Nanny app, before the formula milk is ready. The appliance is self-cleaning after every use with hot water, with “DUV” technology keeping the internal and external components safe from viruses and germs. The device includes the water tank, mixing tubes and the dispenser.

Wicoz plans to integrate Milk Nanny with the cloud service, offering professional advice and monitoring of baby’s growth patterns, overall health and well-being through certified third-party medical facilities. Important data about baby will automatically be generated from the mobile app, which will connect parents with pediatrician.

Right now, Milk Nanny is still in development phase, trying to raise funds at Kickstarter. The money will go towards developing new app functions, enabling sharing of such details as health reports, feeding habits, notifications and more to the baby’s doctor. In addition, the company will work on building a community of mothers with infants supporting each other with vital feeding and baby care tips, and general family-related topics, as well as partner with trusted medical associations, child researchers, infant nutritionists and specialists worldwide.

Wicos is looking to raise $100,000 by February 27th; Milk Nanny is estimated for delivery by May 2015.
