Koala is working as your personal tooth brushing manager. The small-sized, water-resistant device attaches to most toothbrushes, helping users measure, monitor and control their tooth-brushing habits. It also gives sound notifications to helps users reach 2 minutes of brushing.
Working in tandem with mobile and web applications, Koala allows checking of multiple users’ brushing habits from a single location.
The platform supports data export and has an API to allow developers to make apps that tune into Koala’s sensors.The trick of correct brushing is in correct circular movements; that’s why Koala team has developed what they call the Brush Processing Algorithm, which can estimate the quality of a brushing technique and help users improve it.
Koala is also a kid-friendly product, featuring games for kids to play while brushing their teeth and tools for parents to monitor their brushing habits.
Finally, the platform supports data export and has an API to allow developers to make apps that tune into Koala’s sensors. Moreover, the device is also an iBeacon and has a battery that’s good for up to 6 months.
If its Indiegogo campaign succeeds, Koala will be available in four different colors, including Snow, Pineapple, Turquoise and Lime green.
