ResisTrack is a smartphone-connected muscle training device

ResisTrack

Creator of ResisTrack claims it has created the “world’s first muscle tracking device that works on an app to measure the effectiveness of resistance exercises.” Unlike other (standard) activity trackers, ResisTrack allows users to monitor and track the exact force their muscles generate.

Work of a Cambridge entrepreneur and fitness expert Marco Daroczi, the device is now live at the crowdfunding site Kickstarter where it is seeking backers at the $9, $99 and $129 levels. Top-level backers can expect to receive their own ResisTrack package complete with a special resistance band set.

Top-level backers can expect to receive their own ResisTrack package complete with a special resistance band set.“By seeing your actual efforts live on a screen, you’ll focus better than ever, making your workouts faster and more effective,” states Daroczi. “ResisTrack measures and records the force of your left and right muscles automatically with 100% accuracy in real-time in order to ensure symmetrical muscle development.”

The system was 15 months in development, and is now in its third prototype generation. Designed to operate in conjunction with resistance bands, cable machines and suspension trainers – ResisTrack attaches to fitness equipment, connects to a mobile app, and follows pre-selected goals to provide users with personalized workouts. What’s more, the device can track both upper and lower body workouts, and is deemed “the ultimate muscle tracking tool.”

The Kickstarter campaign is looking to raise £50,000 with shipments set for December.
