iPatientCare EHR selected as one of the CMS Designated Test EHR

iPatientCare EHR

iPatientCare announced the selection of iPatientCare EHR as one of the CMS Designated Test EHR.

As part of meaningful use Stage 2’s transition of care objective, measure #3 requires eligible professionals (EPs) and eligible hospitals/critical access hospitals (CAHs) to conduct one or more successful tests with the CMS designated test EHR during the EHR reporting period as one of the options. EPs and eligible hospitals/CAHs would be able to use iPatientCare EHR as one of the CMS Designated Test EHR, if matched by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) hosted “EHR Randomizer” software system.

Based on the results of the Test EHR Pilot program, CMS and ONC have finalized the technical capabilities that need to be in place in order to be designated Test EHR and the test process to be followed by providers. CMS and ONC launched the program on January 14, 2014 with Designated Test EHRs that met the criteria and indicated interest in participating in the program.
