Apocalypse Survival Training app wants to make exercise fun, engaging

Adele Kirby is looking to make exercise a more entertaining experience. Her Apocalypse Survival Training is touted as an “audio fitness adventure” app, offering 30-minute programmes involving running, strength training and holistic sessions.

The first season takes place in London during an alien apocalypse, where a group of survivors is trying to stop the aliens and save humanity.“An audio fitness adventure is like an app-delivered radio play series that drops you into the heart of an action story, to work out off headphones or speakers in the company of some fairly unhinged characters,” Kirby notes at her Kickstarter page where she’s looking to raise money to fund the Apocalypse Survival Training app development. “It’s a fun way for us to create engaging, entertaining and effective fitness programs for you to use at your level, on your own or with friends, from home.”

The first season takes place in London during an alien apocalypse, where a group of survivors is trying to stop the aliens and save humanity. It includes more than 37 sessions, each 30 minutes long.

If the projects hits its £10,000 goal at the popular crowdfunding site, the application will be released for two most popular mobile platform, iOS and Android.

Going forward, Kirby is looking to expand on the idea to, at very least, help many of her friends with low motivation and adherence to a regular exercise regime. If the campaign succeeds, we’re sure more novel audio fitness adventures will be released in due course.
